ABIYOYO Brings Pete Seeger’s Story-Song to the Stage

Something big is happening at Central Square Theater… ABIYOYO, a sheep-eating, baby-snatching, deforesting giant is coming to the mainstage! URT’s Advanced Actor ensemble debuts Deborah Lake Fortson’s vibrant adaptation of Pete Seeger’s story-song this Sunday, March 25.

In preparation for opening night, Faye Dupras met with students to introduce them to the puppets they would be working with on stage. Faye has taken on the challenge of bringing several characters in Deborah Fortson’s script to life, contributing beautiful designs and craftsmanship in the construction of flocks of sheep, butterflies, the moon, the sun and a whole lot more – including Abiyoyo himself!
