Cambridge RISE Info Session, Cambridge RISE aims to address the growing economic divide and racial inequities in Cambridge, while also maintaining its diverse population and continuing to be a place families thrive. Beginning June 2021, Cambridge and its key partners will conduct an 18-month Guaranteed Income Pilot Project for single caretaker households. The pilot will provide $500 recurring monthly payments to 120 residents within the participant group to increase financial stability, and show what is possible on the federal level. The Cambridge Arts River Festival 2021, on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 6 – 9 pm, join us the annual Cambridge Arts River Festival – Not the River but the Stream – a virtual festival filled with outstanding music! For more than a dozen years the Multicultural Arts Center has partnered with Cambridge Arts and presented the largest music stage at the annual festival. This year the Jazz, Blues and R & B Stage is again curated by Producer/Creative Director Shelley Neill, who teams up with Director of Video Production Callie Chapman, in capturing five solo piano concerts by some of the areas most respected Jazz musicians: Tim Ray, Kevin Harris, Rebecca Cline, Bob Toabe, and Yoko Miwa, and includes an interview with each artist after their performance. This very special event will feature an array of renowned Cambridge artists: Latin music ambassadors Rosi and Brian Amador of Sol y Canto and their daughter, enchanting singer-songwriter Alisa Amador, will performing live in a double bill at the historic and legendary folk venue, Club Passim, as well as beloved spoken word artist Regie Gibson; award-winning actress Debra Wise, creative director of the Underground Railway Theater; and a compelling dance performance from beheard.world, created at The Dance Complex!
