A story of the Banquet at the North Cambridge Little League

Trophies and food and other festivities

The North Cambridge little league had a great month of september. First, at the city wide all star tournament held in East Cambridge.; the North Division won their semi-final game to advance to the minor league finals. The score 2-1; a great well played game. So, on Sunday the North Cambridge Little Leaguers went to the field to face the Central Division all- stars. Their luck ran out and they were defeated. Staying with the North All-stars, we followed the major leaguers They also won their first round game and were set to face the perennial champion West Division. There was to be no upset here. Congratulations to all of the all-stars from the East, Central, West and North.
On a warm late summer evening at Comeau Field in North Cambridge the yearly banquet was held. Trophies were awarded to the season champion minor league reds. The playoff champion Cubs minors also took home the hardware. In the major Division the Braves, who went to the majors Cup to represent the North division received their trophies. Finally, on the second weekend tryouts were held. A washout on Saturday turned Sunday to be the day for the tryouts. Approximately fifteen boys and girls tried out. These players were originally on minor league teams and now were major league hopoefuls. Every one who tried out were chosen by major league teams. Go North in 2020.
