Hasson Rashid Speaks at Cambridge City Hall Meeting and Public Hearing (9/9/19)!

"Irrational Societal Visioning and Planning (Dreamings) are Annihilating the Local Homeless Sector and Mosaic."

The following presentation I gave at Monday evening City Hall general meeting and public hearing, concerning the sale of the Sullivan Court House and public garage:

Peace Be Unto You,

Hello everybody, I’m Hasson Rashid, I reside at 820 Massachusetts Avenue. My Public comment ( http://cambridgema.iqm2.com/Citizens/SplitView.aspx?Mode=Video&MeetingID...) today is about CMA#8,9; Policy Order Order/Resolution List#5 and any other agenda items that relate directly or indirectly to homelessness. Thank you.

During initiation of the sale of the Sullivan Court House (SCH), I came forth here at public comment, and declare that the Commonwealth government was in violation of federal mandates. My official comments on several other here at city hall and other items of citizen journalist coverage that appeared on my CCTV blog (from May 22,2015 to February 11, 2019) are added as attachments to today’s official written comment. In all it is in regards to the sale of the SCH being an illegal disservice and offensive, to the local homelessness mosaic and sector. Everyone involved directly or indirectly with the sale should, be working closer to our homeless segment of the community, as it comes down to securing housing for the homeless. That includes developers too. No one seems to include or care for homeless housing, when in reality the poor should be the first considered or the first in line for consideration for human services of a homeless housings nature, by the state and local body politics, and other keepers of and standers by the gate, and in the doorways of resources.

I sincerely and honestly, ask myself, what can be causing the homelessness mosaic and sectors to be shut out in our regions societal visioning (dreaming) in such a vicious way? Could it possibly be the misuse of property, the abusing of the confidence placed in the state and local body politics, or even be part and parcel, of the annihilation of the homeless and other poor folk? You policy makers should keep to the trust reposed on you by the law and the public at large, if not then it is actually mis-appropriation of the things entrusted to you by the rights of the peoples at large.

Finally, I believe that if service providers, faith base entities, etc., had been more aggressive and proactive, the Sullivan Court House, Foundry Building, Volpe Properties, and not to forget Vale Court, could have been legally incorporated into much needed homelessness and poverty housing.

Thank You
Yours In Peace
Mr. Hasson J. Rashid
