Lesley College held its Community of Scholars Conference this year by presenting creative performances, open studios, media, and experiential workshops. Staff, students and alumni ran discussions, poster sessions, and performances showcasing their individual areas of expertise.

The day’s highlight was watching young artists from Artists for Humanity (AFH) in Boston create a mural, Telling Our Stories, in University Hall. They were led by illustrator Kaz Oomori and Lesley MFA and teacher Michael Talbot. Mr. Talbot also teaches at AFH.

The event included a lecture by Mr. Oomori, and AFH teen participation from 3:30-8:30. Approximately 25 youth worked on the colorful mural you see pictured and video showcased here.
