Solution To Our Political Mess: Back To Truth, Spiritual Revival & Conscience

Repercussion of our political division is frightening and dangerous: will affect all Americans and the world if a change is not implemented.

Oswald Sanders, author of “Spiritual Leadership,” one of the greatest books on leadership quotes Shakespeare when he made a character in his book Wolsey say:

“Cromwell, I charge you flee, fling away ambitions,
By that sin fell the angels: how can man then,
The image of his Maker, hope to profit by it?”

Another quote by Shakespeare's book: Hamlet:

“Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.”

king Hamlet was assassinated and his throne usurped by Hamlets’ Uncle. The killing was exposed. It was a turbulent time in the state of Denmark. As I prayed and pondered the state of America and the world, I feel there is something rotten in America and the world now: unless God intervenes, the repercussion will be grave and catastrophic.

Political ambition has always been strongly attractive, powerful, and self gratifying: but what people forget is the challenge, exposure, and the deadly scrutiny that it involves. It does not matter how shrewd and clever you are, sooner or later, people can delve into the quality of the leader: his or her ambitions and greediness, or caring and compassionate attitude.

Julius Caesar was brutally murdered by his political rivals, including his friend Brutus. The conclusion was that Julius Caesar was ambitious, and that was the reason of the assassination. Mark Anthony given the opportunity to speak to the nation about the funeral, exposed the greed, wickedness, ruthless and inhuman killing of Julius Caesar.

"Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest–
For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men–
Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
But Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?
Jesus warned his disciples as they were cajoling for Power:
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.
Julius Caesar: William Shakespeare

This quote exposes the ruthless, wicked, and envious plot behind the assassination of Julius Caesar: the lies and plots of political opponents who don't understand the nature of leadership. The Scripture says: "The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked; who can know it? I the Lord search the heart and reward every man or woman according to their deeds." Here Mark Anthony exposes their shameless pretense and lies.

Jesus warned his disciples as they were cajoling for power with these words, as He laid the foundation for leadership:

“Whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. Even as the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom to many.”
Mt. 20:25-28

1 The core and root cause of this political instability and mess in America:

• Moral breakdown:

In our society, it is like there is no morality anymore. Everybody is living without responsibility to God’s laws, discipline and accountability: no love and compassion for each other anymore, regardless of race or color. It is hate, division, wickedness to each other. Children don’t have role models anymore: neither are they parents teaching them at home. Parents are gone 24 hours from home living their responsibilities to others.

Boston Globe published this: 10/23/188”

“Soldier, Alleged Mistress Arrested With His Wife’s Body In Her Car’s Trunk And her Toddlers In The Back Seat.”

This took place in Louisiana. The dead body of his wife was in the car, and his two children: two and one -year old.
Can you imagine this unbelievable story?

As I am writing this blog now Saturday October 27, the news is:

“Gun man targets Synagogue in hate crime: 8 reported dead.”

“A gun man yelling “all Jews must die," stormed an Pittsburgh synagogue during Saturday services and shot worshipers, killing at least 8 and wounding six, including four police officers before he was arrested, local authorities and Media said.” The figure ha been updated to eleven dead.

I was moved and shocked.

What is going on in our societies and the world? It is moral breakdown where there is no moral discipline anymore. You have a right to behave anyway you want, and do whatever you want in the name of democracy: even hurting others are acceptable norms now.

• In leadership: power, money, and sex have taken over humility, compassion, and service:

Just close your eyes and imagine what would have happened if all the men and women of political leadership targeted with the bomb should have been killed if God did not intervene? The political rhetoric is on both sides of political spectrum: democrats and republicans. But to carry it to excess to kill political opponents is to misunderstand what leadership entails- a profound ignorance.

1 Some view leadership as a place of financial enrichment, power to do whatever you like, sexual exploitation of women, and arrogance. Everybody now wants to be a political leader. What is your motive? Flee ambition, Shakespeare warned humanity.
2 Some who are flooding into leadership don’t have a clue what it means; what it entails, not prepared for leadership; can’t even lead themselves, but wants to lead others.
3 Then they are millionaires and billionaires flooding them with money. They in turn does the will of the people who put them in power, instead of the will of the people who elected them. Then nothing gets done in Congress. For example, gun control can’t be passed in Congress because many politicians are funded by NRA: guns that have killed thousands of America every year, especially in Chicago. You can’t go against the person who funded your campaign, can you?
4 Because they don’t understand what leadership entails, the nation crumbles.
5 Leadership is not about money, power, sex and arrogance.
6 Leadership involves great accountability before God and men.

Look at Saudi government being probed for the death of Journalist Jamal Khashoggi: if it is proven Saudi Prince Salman has a hand in it, his kingdom will go down in history, regardless of his financial status of his country, and his alliances with Western nations. Leadership is not about money. Empires, governments, countries, nations that don’t fear God and give Him the glory eventually crumbles. It is not about money, it is about righteousness, godliness and giving God the glory. You can’t as a leader begin to behave like you are God. "Righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach to any nation or individual."

This is what has crumbled many empires of the world: disrespect to God’s laws and taking the glory that belongs to God alone. African kingdoms, Persia, Babylonian empire, Judah, Greek, Roman, British, Russia, now American empire on the brink of existence. It has nothing to do with money, but giving God the glory and not usurp God's throne.

Some arrogant kings in history like Nebuchadnezzar were humiliated when he tried to usurp God’s sovereignty. A voice from heaven warned him, and was led into the wilderness mentally deranged. He again told the nation to worship his idol; he was again humiliated. He finally acknowledge God was God. King Herod was destroyed when he arrayed himself like God. kingdoms will rise and fall until Jesus comes to set His everlasting kingdom. Reason for the fall of kingdoms? Ungodliness and wickedness. We have become godless, immoral, filled with hate for each other, compassion less, etc. God is irrelevant in our lives. It is all about money, sex, power, and arrogance.

• Conclusion:

Spiritual revival and awakening, the only remedy for our political mess in American and the world.

What do I mean when I talk of spiritual revival? It means the church that represents God and His principles on earth, and helps others to know the Lord Jesus as Savior should resume their mission of saving souls, stop their pretense and love for money, and witness to the world about God’s deep love for the sinner. Thousands are committing suicide and in opioid addiction, who could have being delivered if the church is dong what God called them to do -evangelism- saving souls. You see the church of God calling themselves evangelicals, they are this and that, but full of hate and lack of compassion. How can someone call themselves evangelicals and all kinds of names and don’t fight for the poor. or the truth? The healthcare for the poor is being repealed, and people lying about it. God loves the poor who have no voice. God says “He who oppresses the poor reproacheth his maker; he who honoreth him hath mercy on the poor.” You can become poor tomorrow, regardless of your riches.

Taking healthcare away from millions of Americans is immoral and ruthless. America remains the only industrial nation without healthcare for all its citizens. When those who do not know Jesus as Savior watch the lives of those who call themselves evangelicals and etc., they vow not to go to the church. “It is by their fruits ye shall know them,” not what they say with their mouth.

If you truly know the Lord, you will have God ‘s deep love in you through the power of the Holy Spirit. That gives you the grace to see others as God’s sees them. God ‘s love breaks racial barriers, national barriers, all kinds of hate and wickedness. Those who say they know the Lord, share your faith, and the riches of God’s grace you enjoy. You can’t hate someone if you have God’s love in your heart.

Your part as a Christian believer is to witness the love of God to others, regardless of their sin: stealing, lying, killers, child molesters, adultery, fornication, gay or lesbian, etc., your part is to witness the love of God that saved you. You were committing sin when God saved you like this people. Your love for others will bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The republicans, all their sin is abortion. As long as you don’t commit abortion, you are okay: but you can steal, lie and hate. Then you see many on the left living without any moral principles and guidance. You can do whatever you want.

God is calling all of us back to His knowledge that saves us from sin, and empowers us through the Holy Spirit to overcome sin in our lives. Then the Holy Spirit, who is God fills us with God’s love for each other when we obey. The one who lives in sin has no peace. Even if you don’t commit abortion, you are still a sinner. We are not saved by our righteousness or our good works. “By faith are we saved, not of works less any man should boast. It is the gift of God.” Sin is sin, whether it is lying, hate or abortion, etc: "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Then we can love each other regardless of race.

Look at some one killing 11 Jewish people today worshiping God in the temple. This person doesn’t have God’s love. God’s love transcends race, color, etc. The nation will change if we seek the knowledge of Jesus Christ that changes our lives: whether you are a democrat, or republican, millionaire, billionaire, corporate leader, the spiritual leader living in pretense, politicians, ordinary people, etc. Money is transient. Tomorrow the rich can become poor, and the poor rich. “Don’t see money, power and sex as your god.”

Look at some of the greatest leaders in the world:

*Esther a woman in the Scripture:

At a turbulent time in history, during the fall of Judah: Jewish people were in exile in Persia facing annihilation. Esther laid her live for the Jewish people to avert the death of millions. That is the huge sacrifice a genuine and compassionate leaders does. She went all her way to save millions of Jews. A selfish, greedy and arrogant leader will not do that. Esther said:

“If I perish I perish.”

Esther’s name will live forever until the close of the age, and before the Jews and the Christian world.

She will go before the king even though she was not suppose to do that. That would cause her death, But she did not care: all she cared about was her people should not be destroyed. She went into a 3 – day fast that touched the heart of God and led to the deliverance of the Jewish people.

Look at President Franklin Roosevelt:

In 1941, President Franklin Roosevelt proposed the four freedoms in the future of undeveloped countries. Freedom from want everywhere in the world, Roosevelt elaborated on the advantages to America of encouraging other people to raise their productivity; their living standard; and their purchasing power. It would mean greater safety from attack and war, and would encourage the development of democracy.”

Can you imagine if our leaders present and past can listen to such great and powerful wisdom and insight. We would not have this oppressive regimes ravaging the world: war all over the world. Everything for American political and Western leaders is about money. No Western leader cares about what is happening in Syria and Yemen, or African or Central American nations: where thousands are perishing. It is all about greed and money. Arms sale brings billions of sale to America and her allies. That is why Middle East crises and other nations don’t bother them, until it happens in their nations. But this is blood money, God is watching, and if we don’t stop these atrocities, we are heading to "Third World Nuclear War."

I was moved as MSNBC anchor Mika Brzezinkski pleaded to the nation, and particularly to the democrats:

“ Don’t seek retaliation against the Republicans on the bomb issue: don’t do it. We must all come together and heal the nation.”

That is what we need now: healing and forgiveness, as God forgives us. King David said:

“Should God mark iniquity, who among us shall stand before Him?”

The love of God in our heart wins over hate and sin, and helps us to forgive and unite together as one nation under God.
