Peace Be Unto You,

Hason Rashid's Public Comment at the July 30 Special City Hall Meeting is as follows:

Hello Everybody, I’m Hasson Rashid, I reside at 820 Massachusetts Avenue, my Public Comments (http://cambridgema.iqm2.com/Citizens/SplitView.aspx?Mode=Video&MeetingID...) today pertains to the following Agendas: CMA#23; CALENDAR/UNFINISHED BUSINESS#1;POR#10,17;CRT#2,4. , and any other agenda item that relates to local Affordable Homeless Housing and Homeless.

I give the following Public Comment in the interest of clarity/transparency. Some of you all may know that God is in control of the atmosphere, climate, environment, and the good culture of the people. Climate Change impacts or it’s ignition of natural elements, have a direct affect on the lives of local homeless peoples, etc., as long as they are relegated to sleeping and living, in and on the streets of Cambridge, MA. What long range preparation here in Cambridge has the City Manager made to protect his fellow homeless human beings from the natural elements.

Those so-called big housing plans, etc., that are on the drawing board and table here at city hall, don’t mean a thing if they don’t included the full participatory rights of the local homeless mosaic and sector in them. Fair Housing laws prohibits discrimination in housing. Homeless rights as a protected class should become enacted into local human rights ordinances too.

No one should be homeless. Preventing and ending homelessness should be a critical element of any Affordable Housing Master Planning here in Cambridge. It should include comprehensive affordable housing planning for the homeless too. Shutting the homeless out from the social benefits of the environment, etc., via Inclusionary Zoning planning and Affordable Housing Overly District planning is 100% discriminatory, as long as it is allowed to continue without the official and specific, addressing of local Homelessness, in Cambridge’s so-called big affordable housing planning.

Finally, in conclusion Cambridge wants to be first in everything except salvaging the homeless from the street, everything else is given priority over homelessness.

Yours In Peace
Mr. Hasson J. Rashid
