Art&Tech//Show&Tell Series : Allison Maria Rodriguez + Catherine Siller – Video Projection & Performance

New!! Art&Tech//Show&Tell Series

Thursday, May 10, 2018 - 6:00pm

This spring, CCTV will be starting a new series of seminars that will bring in local art/film/makers to discuss the innovative ways they are using new media and technology to share their unique stories.

Allison Maria Rodriguez + Catherine Siller on Video Projection & Performance
Thursday, May 10th, 6-8pm

These two artists use video to project their ideas of the world onto the world.

Allison Maria Rodriguez uses video to create immersive spaces that move beyond language in order to open up the possibility of living differently in the world. Her work focuses on climate change, species extinction, and our connection to nature. Catherine Siller uses video as a tool to immerse herself into a variety of projections. From projected images and text, projected identities, and projected cultural ideals – Siller’s video performances ultimately investigate how the female body is silenced and how it speaks.

On May 10th, these two distinctive artists will come to CCTV to discuss their work and the role that video has played in making their thoughts come to life.
