Sea-level rise changes everything for the post-Columbian city like Boston. We need to learn to re-think and re-map all our concepts of place and space especially our mental maps and so as to overcome our psychological impulse to embrace climate denial and turn instead to a productive strategy to coping with the adaptations that will be needed to survive our changing climate.
