The Central Square Fire In Cambridge, Massachusetts: & God Who Never Fail

We have a God who is faithful and true in times of fear: who will never fail you.

The Deists said God made the world and abandoned it. I tell you it is not true, and I affirm what a song writer said:

“I have a God who never fail
I have a God who never fail
I have a God who never fail
Who never fail
Who never fail
Forever more”

God is a living and faithful God. When you know Him personally through the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, your life will be transformed by not living in sin anymore. You will have the Holy Spirit live in you who guides and divinely protects you. For me, without the Lord Jesus Christ, I have no life. I live completely immersed under His grace.

As usual, when I want to go to bed, I pray and I will ask the Lord to divinely protect me with His powerful hands. On November 29, I was completely exhausted as I had worked very hard, so I went straight to bed. At 1 am November 30, 2017, I was heavily sleeping when someone banged on my door. Usually, I don’t open my door to strangers. But it was like a dream, and a police man was standing on my door. He said:

“Get out out, get out, there is fire!”

I did not know what to do. What do I do? There was no time to waste. I grabbed my shoes, a jacket and followed him outside the apartment. It was like an earthquake-reminded me of living in Santa Monica, California. The whole block was packed with firefighters, police, and many were already out waiting and watching fire fighters battle a grievous, dangerous and heavy fire. It was so cold and I wondered . . .

I looked up to heaven, and I connected with my heavenly father, and I said:

“Lord, this fire will not affect or come to my apartment because you are in control.”

I called a friend who is a nurse. She was working a night shift. I told her what was going on and that she should pray. I texted another prayer partner in New Jersey, and another in California. We watched the fire fighters battle one of the worst fires. The light went off and it was very dark and cold. We watched wondering what was going to happen.

For me, my confidence was in God. The firefighters fought desperately and furiously with heavy noise thundering all over the place. They finally brought the fire under control, and they told us we could go back to our homes. Everywhere was dark and extremely cold. After a while, the lights were turned on again. Immediately I got to my apartment, I fell on the ground and worshiped the Lord for His graciousness and compassion in stopping the fire. That Thursday, I slept all day.

Today Friday December 1, I came out to see the building destroyed, but my apartment was the nest to be destroyed when the fire stopped. Everybody near me have evacuated and left, until the destroyed building is repaired.

God is a good God! I wondered what I could have done if the fire destroyed my apartment! The fire stopped just before my apartment. That was a miracle from God. It gave me a little glimpse of what people who have lost their homes to fire, natural disaster and flood go through. In a twinkle of an eye, you can lose all you have labored in your life. May God bless the fire fighters, and help those who have lost everything in the fire.

I just want to thank God for His goodness to me: His faithfulness, mercy, great compassion despite my unworthiness. May the glory go back to God who never fail; who when the believer calls on Him in desperate times answers. The Scripture says:

“There is no help in man. Woe is the man or woman who puts his trust in man, who makes arm his strength. But blessed is the man or woman whose hope ad trust is in the Lord.”

God will never fail those who trust Him. People, friends, family, etc., will fail you: but God will never fail you in times of your need. He is faithful to His word.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but God’s word will never pass away.” His word says again: “Come to the throne of grace, that ye may find mercy in times of need.”

Again and again, God has come to my rescue. I love Him with all my heart. Come to Jesus and know Him as Savior, and enjoy the riches of God’s grace: peace, great compassion, and His healing power. Don’t keep wasting time to get to know the Lord. There is no one who will love us like Jesus, not even our parents. He is the one who saves us from our sins, forgives, heals and provides when no one does. Come to Jesus and your life will be transformed. It does not matter the depth of your sin or struggle or need, Jesus will help you: and your life will be changed forever. Only the Lord can do that.

A song writer asks:

WE HAVE AN ANCHOR That Keeps the Soul

Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift and the cables strain,
Will your anchor drift, or firm remain?
We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Steadfast and sure while the billows roll,
Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
Grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.

It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand,
For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand;
And the cables, passed from His heart to mine,
Can defy that blast, thro’ strength divine.

It will surely hold in the Straits of Fear—
When the breakers have told that the reef is near;
Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow,
Not an angry wave shall our bark o’erflow.

It will firmly hold in the Floods of Death—-
When the waters cold chill our latest breath,
On the rising tide it can never fail,
While our hopes abide within the Veil.

When our eyes behold through the gath’ring night
The city of gold, our harbor bright,
We shall anchor fast by the heav’nly shore,
With the storms all past forevermore.
