Compassion Makes Life Joyful, Peaceful & Fulfilling

Life without compassion is hollow, hateful, unloving and lacks understanding. It is what is fueling mistrust and turbulence in US and world.

It is amazing the lack of compassion and empathy in our society today in various fields of life: politics, medical, corporate business world, church, etc. It was God’s great compassion that made Him come to earth to die for humanity, and gave us the greatest gift in life- salvation. As many of us enjoy God’s blessings of peace and prosperity, we sometimes tend to forget where we came from, and how God lifted us up. We become ruthless, unkind, and arrogant.

For me, I cannot understand how Western Nations: America and her allies cannot come together and solve the problem in Syria where thousands have perished, and millions fled the country seeking asylum and refugee status all over the world. Now it is evacuation of Aleppo. Thousands have died in Yemen, including many children. Thousand have died in Palestine through oppressive regime.

The Guardian reported 14 December, 2016:

“Only Swift action can avert South Sudan genocide says United Nations human right.”

The news continues:

“Tens of thousands have been killed in fighting in South Sudan, and more than a million fled the country.”

Thesame stories of war have ravaged many African nations: Mali, Congo, Central America, Ukraine, etc. These situations have created refugee crises across the world. In our corporate world, people are being used to make money. It is still a debatable issue to increase minimum wage for families in Congress, who can’t use the money they are paid for job worked for hours to make ends meet in life. Obama Care is going to be dismantled despite that it had enriched the poor who have no medical coverage: people with precondition existence, disabilities and children who benefit from their parents insurance. Some have vowed to discontinue Obama Care. Where is compassion and understanding for your fellow human being - you the rich!

**** It is amazing I wrote this blog December 15, 2016, almost a year now. What is the situation of things in America and the world today. It is worse.

*We are almost on the verge of Third World Nuclear War
*healthcare for millions of Americans in disarray
*Gun control blocked and will go no were
*Immigration comprehensive reform not even mentioned anymore
*Wars still ravaging our world: watch Rohingya, characterized as one of the greatest refugee crises in modern history; Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Somali, thousands are still been killed, and millions still fleeing their country, and nothing is been done about it.

What are we fighting for? "Terrorism," where nations of the world with the greatest natural resources are stripped of their resources because of greed and ruthlessness, and rendered extremely poor.. Then they are made homeless as their nations are been destroyed, and guns flooded for them to war and being killed. They become terrorists. We lie that these people are the cause of the chaos and turmoil ravaging our world.

All these could be avoided with a little bit of kindness, understanding and wisdom. You put yourself in place of others and ask: what if you were in the shoes of this person been destroyed without reason? 'Do unto others as you will like to be treated.'

That is kindness that I am talking about.

The Scripture says Proverbs 14:31:

“He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.”

It was oppression of the poor and his arrogance that brought down and humiliated powerful king Nebuchadnezzar in the Scriptures, and finally led to his repentance. Oppression of the poor has led to the fall of kingdoms and empires. God loves the poor.

Even in the church that God instituted to further love, compassion and kindness-reaching out to the dying world of confusion and chaos so they will know the Lord and be saved, the church has no interest anymore about their calling to represent God on earth, but has succumbed to the “love for money" which is the root of all evil.”

Statistics reports poverty in America is 46 percent, including millions of children living in poverty.

Compassion embodies love, kindness and understanding:

The ability to understand and love others not like you is the basis for our great salvation. The Scripture says:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have ever lasting life.”

God did not pick and choose who will go to heaven and live with Him forever, but He made salvation reach the whole human race: black, white, yellow red, green, Jews and Gentile, etc. It was His great love and understanding that made that possible. Understanding is the ability to stand in the shoes of others and feel their situation and pain. The Scripture says:

"Do unto other as you would like to do unto you.”

For example, when one person dies in America, France, Germany, Britain, Russia, etc., the news circulates all over the world. But thousands have died and perished in Syria, Yemen, Palestine, South Sudan, Ukraine, etc., nobody cares to mediate peace- those political leaders: World powers who have the ability to stop the wars have refused to do so.

Reason why it is so?

Lack of of compassion, love and greed:

The Scripture says:

“The heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I the Lord search the heart and reward every man according to his or her deeds.”

It is the deceitfulness of the human heart. The Scripture says:

“Guide your hear for out of it comes the issues of life.”

The human heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. If you have not experienced the deceitfulness of the human heart, then you don’t know yourself. Sometimes, you want to do good, you find yourself doing the wrong thing. Inability to understand the human heart can harden once heart to do great damage and evil. It is only the knowledge of Jesus that transforms the human heart to do good and justice for the glory of God. The very World Power who got together and destroyed Iraq and Libya, cannot come together and mediate peace in Syria and other hot, torn, war, areas of the world: Syria, Yemen, etc.

Why?

It is the wickedness of the human heart. These same people love their families and protect them, but despise others not like them. They build guns and bombs and flood it all over the world, especially Middle East and Africa. France, Russia, America, Britain, Germany are making billions of profit in gun sale in Middle East and Africa. Those guns sold have destroyed nations and cities, killed thousands, and rendered millions as refugees all over the world.

That is the hardness of the human heart. Lack of compassion, love, kindness and greed. The same gun has destroyed thousands of Americans, more in Chicago every year. Gun control cannot pass in Congress. It is human greed and lack of understanding of others. People forget “whatever you sow, you will reap.” The same ruthless and unkind action you give will come back to you, no matter how famous you are or poor. This is the law of God.

Result of our lack of compassion, love and understating:

Lack of compassion, love and understanding in these war torn areas: Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, South Sudan, Central America, Somali, Congo, Palestine, etc., will finally lead to “Third World Nuclear War” that will destroy the whole world. It is looming fast. This will be because of leaders who lacked:

· Wisdom- the fear of God and to depart from evil

· Lack of compassion for others not like them

· Lack of love for others not like them

· Arrogance and superiority-you are better than others

· Lack of understanding of others-ability to place yourself in the shoes of others, not just me and my family.

· Lack of ability to enrich other lives and your world.

* Lack of understanding of history and world events

The times we live are very uncertain, turbulent and dangerous. Those with leadership position must be careful how they execute their job to do the will of God, not arrogantly exalt yourself like God: whether in politics, corporate, circular, spiritual, etc. God is watching and a day of reckoning will arrive very soon. Lack of compassion, love, and understanding for others as leaders has led to the fall of empires and nations: circular and spiritual. A song writer said:

“Fading away like the stars of the morning
Losing their light in the glorious day
Thus we will pass from this earth and its toiling
Only remembered by what we have done
