Bring Your Own Device: A Collaboration with MIT's CityDays & Together in Service Initiative

This workshop will pair people over 50 with volunteers from MIT for one-to-one help on technological devices

Tuesday, April 19, 2016 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

This one-on-one session, which is part of MIT's CityDays & Together in Service initiative, will pair a MIT volunteer with a senior to help them get the most out of their technological device. If you have new device and just haven't gotten around to taking it out of the box, or if you have a device you are already familiar with but want to explore advanced features, bring it by and we'll help you get the most out of your technology! Be it a phone, tablet, digital camera, or lap-top - all devices are welcome.

If you are interested in signing up, please contact Clodagh Drummey at 617 401 4005 to reserve a space and let her know exactly what device you are bringing and how comfortable you are with it, so she can be sure to pair you with someone who can assist you.

CityDays is a series of one-day volunteer opportunities for all members of the MIT community. The Priscilla King Gray Public Service Center (PKG Center) coordinates several CityDays throughout the year across the Cambridge and Greater Boston area. In conjunction with MIT's mission, CityDays aims to work for the "betterment of humankind" by connecting those who are a part of the MIT community with local organizations who need volunteers. CityDays MIT2016 is part of the Together in Service initiative.
