Apple Day Festival

Apple Day Festival

Come out for a day of hot cider and apple fun at the Egleston Indoor Market!

Saturday, January 24, 2015 - 11:30am to 2:00pm

Saturday, January 24, 11am-2pm. Local apples in January? Yes, when stored properly, apples stay fresh and crisp. Fresh-pressed cider is pure ambrosia! And there are few things that kids love to do more than help crush and press cider. Apex Orchards http://www.apexorchards.com/, our regular apple vendor from Shelburne, Mass. will sell their apples and feed the apple press with a variety of heirloom and conventional apples. Bill Perkins from Agricultural Hall http://www.aghall.com/ will demonstrate how to make fresh-pressed cider, apple cider vinegar, and hard cider. Free samples, kids activities, and more.

Our indoor winter market will be open as usual from 10am-2pm, offering local produce, bread, cheese, eggs, grass-fed meat, fish, salsa, and more. Located at the Urbano Project, 29 Germania Street, Jamaica Plain, in the Brewery Complex, near Sam Adams. Free parking in the Brewery lot or on the street. Near the Stony Brook T station.
