75 New St New Housing -- Deny special permit!

75 New St New Housing -- Deny special permit!

Fresh Pond/Alewife needs to have infrastructure to support new development.

We are now 1 day away from an important Planning Board meeting. The Fresh Pond Residents Alliance, a new neighborhood group formed over the last couple of weeks, is helping raise awareness about developments in Fresh Pond/Alewife and gathering residents to make sure their voices are heard. The Fresh Pond Residents Alliance wants all residents of the area to show up tomorrow evening at the Planning Board to expresses their concerns regarding the development of 75 New St. From their petition

"""
The formerly industrial site (JC Adams Windows) is not well suited for residential use, and the proposed development is too dense in the absence of significant improvements to the street and sidewalk infrastructure in and out of the Sozio rotary to Concord Avene and through the shopping center to connect to Alewife Brook Parkway and the MBTA Red Line station.
"""

Show Up tomorrow evening and let you voice be heard! We residents of Cambridge are not against development, we live in a city and understand well the problems of urban life. But, as residents, we feel the current infrastructure can not support the speed of development. All Cantabridgians have experienced the increase problems of traffic, transportation and parking, the excessive pace of development is exponentially exacerbating these problems. Lets get together and figure out appropriate solutions so our city can keep on growing and being the welcoming place we all feel it is, to both residents and businesses.

Let you voice be heard! Join Us at the Planning Board, Tuesday March 4th 2014 @7:45 pm! Ask the Planning Board to deny sp#286.
