For those interested in following the status of bills in the House and Senate threatening CCTV channels and funding, visit OpenMass.org.

Modeled after OpenCongress.org, OpenMass is "a free, open-source, non-profit, and non-partisan web resource with a mission to make Congress more transparent and to encourage civic engagement." Their mission sounds very similar to CCTV's with regards to increasing open access and civic engagement.

Visit OpenMass.org to follow progress on House Bill 3385 and Senate Bill 1975. There, for each bill, you can find its status, sponsor, see all actions and read online or download the complete document. The part I love the most is the ability to subscribe to RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds for each bill as a quick way to follow the progress.

The site looks like a great resource for those interested in increasing government transparency and democratic participation. I look forward to spending more time there, in general. More specifically, I look forward to following the progress of these important bills because of their potential impact on Public Access TV not only in Cambridge but across Massachusetts.
