The Alloy Orchestra (declared by Roger Ebert to be "the best in the world at accompanying silent films") returns to the Coolidge for their first show since the sold out 2010 screening of The Complete Metropolis. This time they present Alfred Hitchcock's final silent film, Blackmail, a taut, suspenseful story about a young London woman who is dating a Scotland Yard detective. We'll be screening a rare 35mm archival print, on loan from the British Film Institute.
