Member Procedures for Partial Reopening

CCTV is happy to offer limited onsite resources for members. CCTV will partially reopen on Mondays, 5-8PM, beginning on October 5, 2020. Initial services being offered are curbside check-out and check-in of equipment, and production from the live set.

If you have questions about the following procedures please contact staff at info@cctvcambridge.org.

Safety First

The safety and the health of members and staff are our primary concern. As we start a very limited reopening, with additional services added over time, members and staff must adhere to the following procedures:

Masks must be worn at all times except on the live set during the show.
At least six feet distance must be maintained at all times.
Each time a member is scheduled to enter the facility, they will receive a waiver via email, indicating that they will not hold CCTV liable for any threats to their health or well-being posed by entering CCTV’s facility, and that they are doing so of their own volition. They will be required to sign a physical copy of the waiver prior to entering.
Members are encouraged to bring their own pens for signing necessary documents.
No more than four people will be in the facility at one time: two staff and two members.
Restroom access is available following the arrows on the floor through the computer lab and returning via the main hallway.

Anyone violating these procedures will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to return until CCTV has fully reopened. CCTV’s reopening plan may be read in full here.

Live Shows

If you hosted a live show before CCTV closed and have been unable to produce from home, contact Alfonso at alfonso@cctvcambridge.org

Live shows will begin on the hour, last 27 minutes, and be followed by a 30 minute break to allow the air to be filtered.
Those arriving to host a show will be admitted five minutes prior to the start of their program and will proceed directly to the live set.
The set will consist of one chair and a suspended mic. There will be no switcher control, video playback, computer access, or manual recording ability.
Guests and co-hosts will not be permitted at this time.
Hosts must leave the facility immediately following their program.
As is usual, programs will go out live on Channel 9 and be available for download by the producer for six days at http://www.cctvcambridge.org/episdes/go

The availability of in-person live programs is very limited at this time. Members who register for in-person programs must appear for every scheduled show and be on time or risk losing their live slot.

Equipment Reservations

To make an equipment reservation, please contact Seth Myer at seth@cctvcambridge.org or call 617-401-4006. If the member does not yet have a Production Contract, one must be submitted to Seth one week prior to the planned reservation.

Equipment pickups and returns will occur by appointment on the hour on Monday nights between 5-8PM. Members will call the front desk at 617-661-6900 to announce their arrival and a staff person will bring the equipment to the entrance. Prior to turning it over to the producer, the staff person will display each item listed on the check out sheet. The producer will sign the check out sheet and take the equipment.

Equipment is due back the following week at the same time. The procedure will be reversed: the producer will display each item to the staff person and everything will be checked in.
