Every week, CCTV runs new short programs in an unstoppable block of entertainment! Tune in to Ch. 8 every Sunday @ 5 PM & every Tuesday @ 6 PM for a chance to laugh, cry, learn, and be inspired! This week's NEW shorts:

  • Neighborhood Profiles: East Cambridge, featuring Mark Jaquith introducing East Cambridge by showcasing some of his favorite spots including the corner of Cambridge Street and Fulkerson Street, the O'Connell Library, the Sullivan Courthouse, an open dining area, and the Charles River path system.   • Talking with Tim, featuring Kristina Kehrer having a conversation with local barista and filmmaker Tim Blevins to discuss and showcase clips from his upcoming film "Substitute Culture." Produced by Kristina Kehrer.
  • The Juice Machine, a promo for Rose Ann Gilmer's show "BeLive: Truth or Consequences?!," demonstrating how simple it is to juice to get all the phytonutrients and antioxidants the body needs.   • NeighborMedia: Parading Up Windsor, featuring NeighborMedia correspondent Kristina Kehrer visiting Windsor Street in Cambridge to attend the "Day of Portugal" Parade, an event celebrated annually on June 10 to commemorate the death of literary icon Luís de Camões, and talking to Vanessa Ferreira - a young woman who has played in the St. Anthony's Marching Band since she was 9 years old. Town Hall Meeting: Ferguson and Beyond
An important Town Hall Meeting and discussion focused on the killings of black men by police featuring guest speakers Dr. Ron Daniels, Andy Shallal, Danny Glover, Barbara Arnwine, Hilary Shelton, Nkechi Taifa, Ron Hampton, Jasiri X, Keenan Keller, and Don Rojas. MIT Presents: "The Maturation of Model-Based Systems Engineering"
Model-based systems engineering promotes the use of modeling and models as focal design artifacts to enhance the rigor and robustness of systems engineering activities throughout the various phases of a system's life cycle—with an emphasis on the early, conceptual phases. The Object Management Group's Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Object-Process Methodology (OPM) are the two conceptual modeling languages currently in use. In this presentation, MIT Visiting Professor Dov Dori will: highlight the working principles of OPM, with examples from various domains; explain the differences between OPM and SysML; and present the upcoming ISO 19450 OPM standard.
