Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. The series is sponsored by the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and holds readings at the Blacksmith House, site of the village smithy and spreading chestnut tree of Longfellow’s 1839 poem "The Village Blacksmith. On April 9, 2018, the series hosted poets Javier Zimora and Tom Sleigh. The event took place at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, was filmed by Rock Louis, and was edited by Jocelyn Ramirez.

Join the Harvard Square Business Association and Boston Women in Media & Entertainment as we celebrate Women's History Month with a special edition of The Story Behind Her Success with Candy O'Terry featuring riveting stories and candid testimony from singer/songwriter Amanda Carr, legal analyst, TV correspondent & law professor Wendy Murphy, local legend and former owner of Upstairs on the Square Mary Catherine Deibel, Cambridge City Councillors and Alanna Mallon and Sumbul Siddiqui.
The event was filmed by Moussou N' Diaye and edited by Jocelyn Ramirez.

The panel includes Tom Wheeler (former Chairman of the FCC), Sir Tim Berners-Lee (Invented the World Wide Web), Susan Crawford (John A. Reilly Clinical Professor of Law, Harvard Law School) and Mohamad Ali (President and CEO, Carbonite).
The event took place at MIT.
