Education Talk is a new series produced and hosted by Priyanka Deo

In the very first episode of Education Talk, host Priyanka Deo (an intern in the NeighborMedia program at CCTV) brings attention to music and education. An overwhelming amount of data supports that study and participation in the fine arts -- including music, theatre, stage and song -- is an essential component in improving learning in all academic areas. Guests are:

Dr. Louise Pascale - a professor and veteran in creative arts- having now contributed 30 years to the field, and internationally recognized for the Afghan Children’s songbook and literacy project, Inc.- which is a fascinating project aimed at preserving children’s songs during years of war and oppression in Afghanistan. Eva Steward - a music therapy assistant for Note-Able Music- a non-profit music therapy service for people with various disabilities. Eva graduated with a degree in Electronic Music Composition and Voice.
