This weekend, a comedy marathon

Fun and laughs is the theme this weekend. Tune in for comedic shorts, stand-up routines, improv, burlesque, and more. Friday Sept. 30 6-9pm, Saturday Oct. 1 noon-midnight, and Sunday Oct. 2 12-4pm. Highlights include:

Friday 6-9pm, Juice Rap News comedy shorts: The Juice Rap News is the internet nation’s on-beat musical, independent current-affairs programme, responsible for turning bollocks-news into socio-poetical analyses which everyone can relate to and understand – written & created by Giordano Nanni & Hugo Farrant in a backyard home-studio in suburban Melbourne, Australia.

Saturday at 12 noon, the Hot Dog and the Ninja series by CCTV producer Peter Septoff: Join two local heroes as they valiantly battle a vicious mugger and argue about hummus, among other adventures.

From Cambridge producer DL Polonsky, To Mock A Killing Bird: It's 1972 and mailman Stephen Tarlick escapes the draft and his crazy family by running off to a commune in Canada in this satirical, over the top comedy. As well as Murder, Money and a Dog: A quirky comedy in which a lumber salesman finds buried coins during a recession.

Then, Scatterbrain, a silent comedy about a man with a singing brain. Let Her Eat Cake, a love triangle between a man, a woman and a chocolate cake. And Homophobic Delusions, a parody of homophobic attitudes.

Saturday evening meet local stand-up comedians - Jimmy Tingle takes the stage at 6pm and Angela Sawyer at 7pm.

And, for an even later croud: A Night of Oral Tradition at Improv Boston begins at 10:35pm, followed by comedy burlesque and variety shows by Johnny Berosh 11:15-midnight.
