This weekend's Channel 9 marathon is dedicated to the realm of visual arts:

Art Showdown is an artist-centric game show styled after the wild west, produced right here in Central Square, Cambridge. Catch a few episodes of the series, Fri. Aug. 26, 6-7:30pm.

The Art Gallery at CCTV has been host to many exhibits over the years. Watch a series of short features on some of the artists who have shown their work in our space. Fri. Aug. 26, 7:30-8:30pm and Sun. Aug. 28, 3:10-4:30pm.

#whatImake by John Manson is a series of mini-documentaries about people making things and why they do it - from local illustrators, to dancers, to audio-mastering, and more. Fri. Aug. 26, 8:30-9pm and Sat. Aug. 27, 4:35-5:05pm.

The Drawing Board by Susan Chasen is a show devoted to comics and graphic novels and their creators in Cambridge, Boston, and New England - with interviews and live drawing games. Sat. Aug. 27, 2:40-4:35pm.

Short features on beloved Cambridge artists - such as Elsa Dorfman - as well as the art venues that showcase them Sat. Aug. 27, 5:35-5:55pm.

Pay behind-the-scenes visits local art museums, such as The Isabella Stewart Gardner, The McMullen Museum of Art, and The Tiny Museum, with the Museum Open House series, Sat. Aug. 27, 6-9:30pm.
