December is upon us. This Saturday on Channel 9, get acclimated with a veritable winter wonderland of programs:

At noon and 7:30pm, catch a Winter Concert from the 2009 Community Youth Orchestra of Boston.

At 1:20pm and 5:50pm watch a seasonal episode of Coloring Coorain — "XXX-Mas." Coorain puts the sexy back in Christmas with this holiday special, as he struggles to find the reason for the season — all while remaining a feminist.

Enjoy Cambridge Community Chorus' Winter 2014 program — performances of Galuppi's "Domine a 4,", Vivaldi's "Magnificat," Beethoven's "Elegischer Gesang," and "Fauré's "Requiem" — at 1:45pm and 8:30pm.

And in case you've forgotten what a blizzard looks like, don't worry, we've got you covered. View historic 2010 and 2011 blizzard footage from CCTV's Streetcam, at 1pm, 6:30pm, and 11:30pm.

New work by CCTV members airs each week on Channel 9 Sunday at noon and Friday at 7pm, and on Channel 96, Tuesdays at 1pm and Thursdays at 9pm.

This week, you'll see Sad Eyes, a profile of a man living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, produced by Kristina Kehrer in CCTV's DSLR Video Projects class this past season.

Cambridge Events:

The Lynch Family Skate Park, built beneath the I-93 ramps beside North Point Park in East Cambridge, broke ground and officially opened to the public on Saturday November 14. Watch the opening ceremony — and even some shots of the first skaters trying out the new turf. On Channel 9, Sunday, 12/13 at 2:05pm, Tuesday, 12/15 and Thursday, 12/17 at 10am. You can also watch it on Channel 96, Tuesday, 12/15 at 8:15 and Thursday, 12/17 at 8:10pm.

Rib Fest is a culinary showdown organized each year by the East Cambridge Business Association, pitting pit master against pit master for the title of the best ribs in town. Restaurants from all over town participate. This year's event on October 4 was filmed for CCTV by Rock Louis.

A STEAM Education event on October 8 promoted science, technology, engineering, arts, math in the Cambridge Public School System. Activity tables were set up for families with children ages 5-13 to have some fun experiences, and to gain information about opportunities for STEAM experiences. This event was aimed at residents in AREA IV, and was sponsored by Cambridge Public Schools, The Dept of Human Services, the Agenda For Children, the Cambridge Public Libraries, TERQ, Tutoring Plus, Science on the Street, and other organizations.

In addition to being an author, singer, songwriter and musician, Pope has been very active in assisting others in prison to strengthen and rebuild their families. He has made considerable inroads in increasing awareness about the realities of the prison system in America. On Channel 8 Saturday, 12/12 at 4:30pm, Monday, 12/14 at 10pm, Wednesday, 12/16 at 1:30pm, and Friday, 12/18 at 4pm. From Somerville producer Henry Parker comes Domestic Abuse with Lola Remy, an interview and discussion with Attorney Lola Remy that aims to raise awareness about abuse. You can view Domestic Abuse with Lola Remy on Channel 8, Saturday, 12/12 at 4pm, Monday, 12/14 at 10:30pm, Wednesday, 12/16 at 1pm, and Friday, 12/18 at 4:30pm. The program is also available on Channel 96, Tuesday, 12/15 at 10:30pm and Thursday, 12/17 at 4:30pm.
