Second Annual HorrorFest - International Film Festival
A Juried Screening of Short Horror Films

CAMBRIDGE, MA - On Wednesday, October 26th at 7pm, at MIT’s Bartos Theater, Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) will host its second annual screening of juried video work that addresses the theme of horror. After a very successful inaugural year in 2015, HorrorFest is back with a bigger venue and even more opportunities to get the shivers. From psychological thrillers to monster movies, from genre tropes to experimental ambiance, watch short films and video projects that will electrify you and make you jump out of your seat. As the horror film is often an overlooked artistic genre of filmmaking, CCTV’s HorrorFest attracts filmmakers from across the country, and even the globe, with a different cultural context to display and discuss their work.

The screening will begin at 7PM and be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, who are strongly encouraged to attend the screening and participate. Though the event will represent the fun of the holiday spirit, the Q&A also offers an opportunity for viewers and makers to create a dialogue about horror as a theme. The Bartos Theater is located on the ground floor of the Wiesner Building on MIT’s campus (20 Ames Street, Building E15, Atrium level, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02139).

This event is are FREE and OPEN to the public.
