David "Cadillac" Martin, a native of Trinidad & Tobago, attended Boston’s Emerson College from 1987-1991. He studied radio communications. During his time at Emerson College, David worked at WERS 88.9 FM and interned at WILD 1090 AM. David was inspired by his work at WERS and WILD, and in 1990, he started his own program, The Caribbean Connection, on 1600 AM. Boston Magazine rated The Caribbean Connection as one of the greatest Caribbean programs that ever happened to the city of Boston. And by 1992, he had moved his radio program to WRCA 1330 AM, where it still runs strong today.
Today, David is the producer and director for The Caribbean Connection. He uses his show as a training ground for interns who want to learn the business of radio programming. Because of his unique specialty for sales and marketing, he is constantly asked to produce advertising for businesses. He also uses his talent as a voiceover artist, to produce commercial advertising for The Caribbean Connection
