Gunshots on my Lawn
August 26, 2008 - 3:25pm — Sister BeeI was in a community computer lab in the Port/Area 4 ‘round 3:40 pm on August 24th when I heard “pop pop BANG pop pop…” Suddenly every eye turned from their typing and gaming with an alarmed look that hurled the question “Was that gunshots?” I rushed outside selfishly praying there were no ‘bodies’. After all, my child, my nephew, and 98 other youth attend camps in the immediate area of the shooting - and at least a hundred others play at parks daylong. So in my panic I only thought of “The Babies!!!!”….
At least ten other neighbors cautiously spilled out into the streets, fear furrowing our eyebrows, as we witnessed two camp councilors with 20 kids rush from Clement Morgan Park “come on hurry!!!” they uttered while fast tracking their way back to a “safe spot”…Community members discussed what they saw, and we all unified in our fear and our mutual concern for each other as we spoke about the audacity of folks shooting Gunshots on our lawns. read more...

August 15, 2008 - 11:23am — KoreVanBaldwinBANK OF AMERICA SUCKS FOR CERTAIN...
OF COURSE I DID NOT QUITE LISTENED WHEN ONE OF MY GOOD FRIENDS WARNED ME ABOUT THEM.

DESPERATE TIMES FOR THE PEOPLE. OUR RIGHTS. OUR NEEDS AND EFFORTS SHOVELED OFF AS HORSE MANURES TO GIVE LEEWAY INSTEAD TO THOSE CORPORATIONS WHO PRETTY MUCH OWNED THIS COUNTRY.

My Personal Narrative...Final Product!
July 31, 2008 - 10:46am — RoseHello everybody!
Finally my personal narrative is finished. Although it is not my best work I find it very emotionally interesting. The process of creating my project let me learn a lot about final cut pro, using the camera, and other things. I'm really excited that it's finished because now it's Final Project Time!

Dudley St. on Halloween
July 30, 2008 - 11:19am — e.madsenbondFor the Summer Media Institute 2008 each person made a personal narrative about someplace that was important to them. I chose my block. One of the most important things about my block is Halloween, so I chose that as the focus of the project.

Hello
July 28, 2008 - 7:49pm — buzHi.
Some people around CCTV already know me, but by no means everybody. I've been around CCTV for four or five years, and like it says on the right, have been an intern, have been an MAC member, and am part of the YOU ARE HERE newsgroup.
This is just an introductory post but I will say the following two things. The newsgroup, which I am involved with, produces the half hour video news magazine YOU ARE HERE (see our website for lots more information) which appears on the station three times a week, and we are always looking for producers, so if you are interested in producing a community oriented news story on a particular topic, or in producing stories on an ongoing basis with a Cambridge connection, please let me or some other member of the group know. We'd welcome you as an one time or occasional contributor or as an ongoing member. read more...
