Susan Flannery is Director of Libraries for the City of Cambridge. She is past president of the Massachusetts Library Association and the Rotary Club of Cambridge and a former board member of the Guidance Center, Inc. and the ACLU of Massachusetts. Her honors include the Leading Role Award, CCTV, 2005; Friend to Writers Award, PEN New England, 2004; Outstanding Library Advocate of the 20th Century, 2000 and John Cotton Dana Award, 1989, from the American Library Association.
