Get your Program on Television
Cambridge Community Television operates three cable television channels and residents and members may submit programs for cablecast to our 31,000 cable-subscribing households. There are a lot of options for submitting programs to CCTV.
Live Programming
The most popular program format on CCTV channels is the live, miniature hotset that we call "BeLive". We cablecast over 60 of these live half-hour programs each week on topics all across the board. Belive program time slots are assigned to Cambridge residents and members on a first come, first serve basis. CCR, or Cambridge Community Radio, is a two hour audio-only format cablecast on our channels. These live programs are treated like traditional radio programs on our television channels, and feature various topics.
Pre-recorded programming
CCTV will accept pre-recorded program submissions as either "single" or "series" type programs. Single programs are one-shot, stand alone programs that are scheduled according to timeslot availability on a short term basis. Series are a number of episodes of the same program that are cablecast in a fixed timeslot across many weeks or months. The series contract and timeslot lasts until January of the next year, when the timeslot may be changed at CCTV's discretion. Any Cambridge resident can submit a single program free of charge. Series programs always require a membership with CCTV.
