Opportunities for Non-Profit Organizations at CCTV

CCTV can provide your non-profit with a variety of cost-effective ways to incorporate media into your organization’s communication strategy. All that you need is an Organizational Membership, one of the several memberships we offer.

Reach an Engaged, Local Audience
CCTV's Channels 9,10 and 22 reach a potential audience of 30,000 viewers (Cambridge households subscribing to cable). A recent telephone survey of cable subscribers found that 50.1% of all subscribers have watched CCTV. Of those, 60% viewed programming in the last month, with one-fourth viewing programming in the past week. 83.1% of all subscribers said it is “important” to have “local cable TV channels that feature programs about area residents, organizations, events, school, and government.”* CCTV has been recognized as a source for local information since 1988. If your organization is based in Cambridge or serves Cambridge residents, consider adding programming on CCTV’s channels and website to your marketing mix. *(July 2009), conducted by Group W Communications, LLC.

Numerous Ways to Get Your Message Out to the Public
As a fellow non-profit, CCTV’s mission is to serve the residents of Cambridge. One way that we do this is by providing a space for viewers to learn about resources available in their community. This is where your organization comes in – provide us with programming that informs viewers about your organization’s work, events, highlights issues, or other important information the public needs to know! Membership is Extremely Cost Effective
Using media technology can be expensive, but with our sliding scale based on your organization’s operating budget, it doesn’t have to be. We keep our yearly membership rates as low as possible, giving you access to resources that would cost hundreds of dollars more at commercial sources. Best of all, you own what you produce at CCTV, which means that in addition to showing your content on our channels, you can post it to your website, YouTube, or any other outlet to stretch it even further!
