The First Cambridge Story Slam of the season at Passim @ 47 Palmer Street, Cambridge, MA @ 7:00 pm October 17th. Join cycling "evangelist" Richard Fries and massmouth co-founder Norah Dooley at legendary Club Passim in Harvard Square for the first event of the 2011-12 Cambridge story slam season. Ten lucky tellers will be chosen at random to share their stories about "Wheels" and compete for prizes in the season-long competition.
What's your story? Have you had a near-miss on a bicycle in the city? Have you been stranded in the countryside with a flat tire? Or, do you prefer wheels of another variety? Skateboards? Roller Blades? Wheels of thought? Wheels of industry? Fifth wheel? As our special guest, Fries will offer energetic anecdotes from his 35 years as a cyclist, journalist, race announcer and organizer.
