Internship: Work 4-10 hours per week as an intern and receive an Access Membership, regardless of residency. There are many departments to intern in. CCTV relies on volunteers who agree to provide regular assistance to staff in some area of operations. Anyone, regardless of their age or place of residence, may apply to become a CCTV intern.

Available Internships:

Cablecast Intern
Cablecast interns are responsible for the on-air operations of CCTV's three Public Access channels. Cablecasters cue up and play programs according to the schedule, and facilitate users of CCTV's BeLive studio. An interest in working with people and technical equipment is required, as is attention to detail. No experience required; training provided. Graphics Intern
Graphics interns create the computer-generated community bulletin board which plays on CCTV's Public Access Channels betweeen programs. For more information, contact Marissa Acosta, (617) 661-6900 x129.

Production Intern
Those who already possess production skills may be interested in becoming a production intern at CCTV - planning, videotaping, logging, and editing CCTV video productions. Applicants must have demonstrated production skills.

Technical Intern
Technical internships are appropriate for those who like to take things apart, and are able to put them back together again! Applicants must have demonstrated technical expertise in either video or computer repair.

Computer Central Staffing Intern
Staffing interns oversee Computer Central, CCTV's combined Mac/IBM computer lab during the Public Access Drop-in Hours. Staffing interns should be comfortable with both Mac and IBM computers, and motivated to learn more. A sincere interest in helping people use computers is required, as is a sensitivity to the needs and concerns of those new to computers.For more information, contact us at (617) 661-6900.

Training
Brand new, flexible internship that may include, depending upon the intern's expertise, the design, updating and distribution of promotional materials about CCTV's training program, adaptation of CCTV's manuals for web publication, production of intructional videos, administrative support, research for training materials. Bilingual Teaching Intern: Do you speak Spanish, French, Portuguese or Chinese?
CCTV has specialized open access hours for Cambridge's linguistically diverse communities. We are looking for bilingual interns to teach basic computer skills to the Portuguese, Spanish, French (Haitian), and Chinese communities in Cambridge. Membership/Administrative Internship
We are looking for energetic, organized people to help with the behind-the-scenes operations here at CCTV. This internship is well suited for people who would like to develop or share their office, database, and organization job skills in exchange for a free membership. Example tasks might include: data entry using FileMaker Pro, preparing mailings to members, analyzing membership trends and demographics, and member development and organizing.
