DESIGN PRECEDENS (1of 10) of GREAT PUBLIC URBAN SPACES: PLACE DE LA CONCORDE and THE LINKAGE PRINCIPLE

This is the view from the landmard church of Site Marie Madline to the center of the Place de la Concorde (marked by the obilisk) and beyond to the the facade of Assemblee Nationale.

The sequence of movement on this particular linkage (the axis of Rue Royale to Bolevard Saint Germain) opens one to the experience of the essential spatial structure and architectural icons of historic Paris.
