Flicks at the ‘Plex - The Turning Point

The Dance Complex will be hosting a series of movie nights in Studio One, donations going to the fund to renovate that beloved theater.

The first film will be The Turning Point on Sunday, 11 July at 7pm.

Back to our roots, we’re inaugurating an occasional film party in the Julie Ince Thompson Theatre; the studio the Odd Fellows designed for showing ‘talkies.

Asking for a donation of $5 there will be (salty) popcorn and expensive sodas available.
After Fox Films shot its penultimate scene for Bride Wars at The Dance Complex a few years ago, the studio caught the bug and reignited the need to be a place to view dance movies.

The Turning Point was released in 1977 and stars Anne Bancroft, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Shirley MacLaine, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Tom Skerritt, Leslie Browne and Mikhail Baryshnikov. It was directed by Herbert Ross and stars Mikhail Baryshnikov, who twice rehearsed at The Dance Complex (1994).
