Dear Interested Citizen:

Since January, the city and our consultants, in collaboration with the Advisory Committee, have been working to develop design concepts for the street (see some preliminary renderings on the reverse side). I’d like to invite you to the second Community-wide Public Meeting on Tue. June 29 at 7pm to view these concepts. (See below for other opportunities to see the design concepts). Please help by spreading the word about these public opportunities to participate in the redesign of Western Avenue and provide your feedback! Learn about traffic calming, improved pedestrian safety, cycle-tracks, back-in angled parking, opportunities for improved traffic signal timing, street trees, public art, and more. Construction is expected to begin next summer (2011).
