The Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square will be showing Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid and The Hustler

From The Brattle Theatre's Website:

Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
(1969) dir George Roy Howard Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Katherine Ross [110 min]
Arguably one of Paul Newman's greatest and most beloved roles, BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID tells the kind-of true story of the legendary bank robbers and the mutiny that forces them into a life on the lam, an exodus from the states, and a futile attempt at going straight, all of which ends, not surprisingly, in an epic gun battle worthy of such larger than life men. Newman and Redford are spot-on as Cassidy and Sundance, and masterfully portray the Western rogues that our mothers warned us not to love.

The Hustler
1961) dir Robert Rossen Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, Piper Laurie [134 min]
Newman is "Fast Eddie", a small time hustler whose bravado forces him into a high stakes game with the reigning pool hall champion, "Minnesota Fats" (Gleason). Eddie is out of his league, and eventually loses everything except his initial bet. Broke and broken, Eddie agrees to join up with the untrustworthy manager Bert Gordon (Scott), who promises to teach him what he needs to know to beat Fats and win his money back (albeit at a steep commission). But Eddie quickly learns that victory may come at a price he was not prepared to pay.

I'm looking forward to seeing these films on the big screen!
