We the people of this great nation need a 21st-century leader as our next president. Barack Obama is this unique leader for our time. Iowa gave America its first bold signal that greatness and fresh innovative leadership would come from an Obama presidency. The remarkable presidential primary victory in Iowa earlier this year sent a message that by putting Barack Obama in the White House, we the people would turn the page on old politics in Washington and that the next president of the United States of America would not sound like old news.
We the people of this great nation respect and honor the men and women of past generations and those who now bravely serve and protect freedom at home and in foreign lands. John McCain's record of service to the nation is honorable. This is undisputed. The real concern that should alarm American voters is that John McCain is certainly not a maverick. John McCain is absolutely not an agent of change at all.
It is shameful and laughable to hear John McCain utter the exact words that have been the source of fuel for Barack Obama's presidential campaign..."Change you can believe in"...Change is coming to America" When these words are uttered by Barack Obama they ring true and reverbrate here in America from sea to shining sea, coast to coast and around the world. When "Change is coming to America" squeaks out of John McCain's mouth the sound is hollow, forced and indeed false. We the people hear instead the battle cry of a failed Republican legacy. We the people hear the battle cry of a plea to continue the same old politices of a failed George W. Bush administration and policies.
Now is our time to move forward and embrace the Obama presidency and reclaim the American dream. The surge in voter registration is staggering beyond belief. Millions of Americans are standing up for change. Millions of Americans are becoming fully involved in this historic presidential election. We the people understand clearly that Barack Obama will be a 21st-century leader as our next American president.
Together, we are one great nation.
