Cambridge Notables Take It All Off: Re-Release of the Cambridge Uncovered Calendar to Benefit CCTV

Cambridge Community Television announces the availability of Cambridge Uncovered - the Calendar, a sixteen-month wall calendar of Cambridge notables in the nude. Photographed by award-winning Cambridge photographer Mark Ostow, the images are fun and provocative, providing an intimate view of noteworthy locals.

“Since 2005, approximately 2,000 copies of Cambridge Uncovered - the Calendar have been squirreled away in every nook and cranny at CCTV, awaiting the year when the dates would once again align. And now is the time!” said Susan Fleischmann, CCTV’s Executive Director. “Reusing these calendars is a green option, and they are still as relevant as they were in 2004 – you can have a wall hanging that is part fine-art, part utilitarian, uniquely Cantabrigian, and a guaranteed conversation starter, all for just $10.”

The 16 month calendar begins in September 2010 and runs through December 2011. Some of the notable residents featured include: writers Anne Bernays and Justin Kaplan; artists Mags Harries and Lajos Heder; peace activists Cathy Hoffman and Betty Burkes; 1369 staff members; Boston Latino Film Festival director Jose Barriga; dancer Rozann Kraus; CCTV staff, Pemberton Farms owners Mark and Tom Saidnawey, and S & H Construction crew members.

Cambridge Uncovered calendars are now available at Harvard Bookstore, Porter Square Books, and at CCTV, located at 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, or online here. Calendars are available at the discounted price of $10 plus tax (and shipping and handling if purchased online) and include stickers to cover up the year. All proceeds will benefit Cambridge Community Television’s community outreach programs.
