Neville Place: Small Changes...Big Effects

A video on the new, accessible community garden near Neville Place at Fresh Pond. Produced by the July 2008 Zipdocs Class: Amar Mehta, Dana Bensimon, Kethia Beausejour, and Ukwori Onuma.

Thanks for making this video, I love community gardens as a community building tool and for the beauty they bring. The city is building 36 new community garden plots all in raised beds made of recycled materials in the new park addition at Charles St.and Lopez Ave. in East Cambridge. At least one of them is designed specifically for use by a person in a wheelchair. The space is very nice, and construction should be finished in early fall. Garden plots can be reserved through the Cambridge Conservation Commission.

Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed the video. I actually just happened to walk by the new garden going in in East Cambridge and was excited to see it - great to hear it is made of recycled materials.

Great
