Brewhaha is a short documentary, which follows two women from different backgrounds who
decide to brew their own beer for the first time. One has a lifetime of experience tasting,
enjoying, and socializing around beer, while the other feels her ambivalence towards beer and
stereotypical beer drinkers makes it hard for her to find her place in American culture.
While experiencing the joys and frustrations of attempting to brew their own beer, the women
also learn more about the modern homebrew movement, by brewing with local brewing
celebrities such as David Rosenbaum, winner of the 2009 Sam Adams Patriot Homebrew
Contest, and Dann Paquette of Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project. From sterilization nightmares
to bottling mishaps, they discover the art and science of brewing and appreciating craft beer.
They also discover more about themselves and each other as they eagerly anticipate that first sip
of their very own brew.
Following the premiere screening of the film, guests are invited to stay for a reception at
Cambridge Community Television, where refreshments will be served. Produced by Project Documentary: cctvprojectdocumentary@gmail.com...
