Healing Tribal Rhythms

Michael Koran interviews Curtis Jones. Curtis discusses how building communities in our classrooms helps heal the fragmentation in children's lives.

"A boy in school never wrote," said Curtis. "When we brought a drum in he began to play it vigorously. We then asked him to write down what he was feeling: He wrote 'My head sometimes feels like it is exploding. But when I play the drum it feels cool.'"
