Come learn how easy it is to get creative with Apple Macintosh's free software, iMovie 6HD.
In this 6 hour session split in two on the 21st and 28th, students will explore different multimedia that they can mix in iMovie. Topics explored include digitizing footage from a DV camcorder, editing video and audio, adding transitions, effects and titles. Additional exercises explored include working with the Ken Burns effect in iMovie to animate scanned or digital images. In the end, students export a movie file in the DV-NTSC format, ready to burn to DVD or to be compressed for the web. Extended support for iMovie is also offered on Thursdays.
