I'm very happy to announce, that thanks to Colin Rhinesmith, Shaun Clarke & Susan Fleischmann, a new afternoon has been approved and billed as 'MEDIA LAB THURSDAYS'. This FREE drop in time will be hosted from 3PM to 6PM, every Thursday beginning October 1st, 2009, to all Access Members who are interested in advancing their technical skills. Since this afternoon was inspired by members, I would like to particularly thank my dear friends Laura Montgomery, Wayne Robinson & George Kelso -- who have already put to use many of their skills and continue to learn more. Please read the description of the afternoon below and come on down to get started on your next step!

PRE-REQ: Access Membership with open Production Contract.

RESTRICTIONS: Access is granted to members with an open production contract. Members without a production contract are allowed to drop by for an initial consultation on how to acquire one and get started.

DESCRIPTION: Media Lab Thursdays is the first stop for members who are experiencing difficulty in accessing what the next step will be in their production path. BeLive Producers and producers of all levels of programming are welcome to drop by to explore ideas to spice up their shows with additional roll in footage or online presentations and distribution techniques. Media Lab Thursdays can be used by Access Members who have been curious, but intimidated by new technology. These hours are designed for members with a genuine interest in advancing their technological skills and are ready to make the next step to produce for CCTV’s channels or website.
