Enter your community oriented programming into the Hometown Media Awards by Feb 28, 2013 (deadline February 20th for a CCTV discount). The Hometown Media Awards is local cable’s largest video awards competition. This festival honors and promotes community media and local cable programs that are distributed on Public, Educational and Governmental access cable television channels. Awards are presented to creative programs that address community needs, develop diverse community involvement, challenge conventional commercial television formats, and move viewers to experience television in a different way. Winners of the Hometown Media Awards will be recognized during the Alliance for Community Media 2013 Conference & Exhibition in May.
CCTV can get you a discount on entering this contest. Entering through CCTV, we will pay half of your registration fee making your cost only $37.50. You must be an Access Member of CCTV and you must submit your program entry electronically through the festival website. Deadline to submit entries and get our member discount through CCTV is February 20, 2013.
All program entries must have been shown on CCTV's channels between January 1 and December 31, 2012. Note that your video must be under 30 minutes and the size of your file must be under 300MB. If you must send DVDs to enter the festival then your fee will be $95. Read the Hometown Media Awards website for the full rules and regulations.
