Meet the 2009-2010 MAC!

Lynette Laveau-Saxe, Fundraising Committee
Lynette, host of the BeLive program “Callalloo Express,” is also a long-time arts entrepreneur and theater practitioner. This is her second year serving on the MAC, and she wants “to be involved in the collaboration and learning process with others as they provide quality programming and training in electronic media and online technology.”

Julie Pan, Fundraising Committee
Julie has been involved with CCTV’s youth program for three years, and looks forward to “representing the voice of Cambridge youth on the MAC and reaching out to other parts of Cambridge.”

Tanya Powers; Finance Committee
Tanya became involved at CCTV as an intern while a junior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin. Since then, she has been involved in many shoots and volunteer roles at CCTV. “My vision is to keep CCTV a public access station that allows people to express their thoughts and ideas through TV and radio programming.”

John Melczer, Mass Communications Technology
A member for three years, John has served on the MAC in the past, and has worked with a wide cross-section of CCTV’s members by producing, directing, and participating in a number of shoots. “I want to serve on the MAC because I want to share with CCTV members and the community at large the broad range of experience and abilities that I can bring to bear.”

Rhonda McPherson, Member Advocacy and Outreach
Rhonda, who brings previous experience from serving on other boards in the community, is returning for her second year on the MAC, and wants to “go out into the community and see what their wants and needs are, so we can better serve our community by utilizing CCTV.”

Elizabeth Kanze, Member Advocacy and Outreach
Elizabeth, a member of CCTV for three years, hosts the CCR and BeLive programs “Looking Beyond the Politics,” and has recently joined NeighborMedia. This is her second year on the MAC, and she is looking forward to it because she “learned so much about how CCTV is run” during her first year.

Clyde Hicks, Programming and Policies
Clyde has 10 years of experience hosting and producing programming, including his BeLive and CCR program “Sports Talk.” He wants to see CCTV produce more live programming that involves the community, and “give positive and creative input that I think will help all involved in any capacity at CCTV.”

Lloyd Smith, Programming and Policies
Lloyd, a returning MAC member and producer of “Living in America," says of his vision for CCTV: “I see a CCTV where there is an ever-growing level of participation and interaction between our station and the community, where what we do builds our reputation for making a difference at every level of community from the personal to the global!”
