In this 11-minute NPR-style feature story, reporter John Donovan visits CCTV to find out why community media still matters in an age when so many people are uploading video directly to the Internet through video portals like YouTube. John Donovan submitted this piece as his final audio project for a Graduate Audio Production course at Emerson College in the Fall of 2007.

A Floor Director or a Stage Manager during live broadcasts from CCTV could assist with the logistics and any difficulties that turn up. The person on the air would have greater freedom not having to be so concerned with coordinating all the details while on the air.

During broadcasts it's a good idea to remind viewers and viewers who've just tuned in what the program is on the air. It's not reasonable assuming all viewers tuned in at the beginning.
