I've been involved with CCTV's youth programs since fourth grade, when I was an after-school participant. Now, I coordinate the Summer Media Institute for high school students, which I was a part of growing up, as well as the School-Year Production Program (SYPP). In addition to my role managing CCTV's youth programs, I run the training department and teach classes like "Advanced Production: Project Documentary."

This documentary gives you a behind the scene look at CCTV's Summer Media Institute (SMI), a six-week work expereience and media production program run though a partnership with the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program. The video features interviews with SMI participants and staff, and profiles the projects that were made during the summer 0f 2007.
