Last meeting we were joined by IFFB co-founder Scott Moomaw, who along with IFFB Operations Manager Nancy Campbell have agreed to be available in an advisory capacity. We ran our plans by Scott and he said everything looked good. He suggested we keep member and non-member categories separate as an opportunity to award more prizes.

The next meeting is scheduled for August 21st 6-8pm in CCTV proper.

I'll be in Newfoundland til then with no email access so see you when I get back!

Dates:

Aug 21st: We have to finalize criteria, rules, theme and title.

Aug 28th: Announce fest

Nov. 19th: Submission deadline

Shorts Festival Update: 8/9/07

At last night's meeting, we created 4 planning subcommittees for Shorts Festival Planning based on the To Do List. Below is a list of the subcommittees and the MAC Member chairing each one. No one at last night's meeting was interested in chairing the Sponsorships/Donations/ Venue subcommitee. Any other MAC members that might like to volunteer?

1- Public Relations/ Outreach: Ned (Note: Amy, Laura and Elizabeth interested in participating)
2- Design/Branding: Buz (Note: Max and Elizabeth interested in participating)
3- Judges: Wayne
4- Sponsorships/Donation/ Venue: ?

The idea is that each subcommittee chair will move their area along, planning meetings to discuss issues related to their area and inviting other MAC members.

Next general Shorts Festival Meeting is Tuesday, August 21st at 6 p.m. at CCTV.
