Darwin Live at the Central Square Theatre

He is the very model of a modern anthropologist.

Richard Milner performed an abbreviated version of his show Darwin Live in Concert at the Central Square Theater last night. The one hour show was a benefit performance to support the North Cambridge Family Opera Company's show "Naturally Selected". Mr. Milner's show consisted of narration, in and out of character, accompanied by slides and song. The illustrations, pictured portraits, the voyage of the "Beagle",animal and plant specimens, and scenes of Darwin's life and the Scopes trial. Eight songs from the full show were used, including numbers in the styles of Gilbert and Sullivan, and Jimmy Durante. If you have any interest in the subject matter and enjoy intelligent, humorous, entertainment and a few clever songs, you should try to catch his show. He kept his audience laughing and tapping their toes from start to finish.

You can catch two free shows of Naturally Selected by the NCFO Festival Chorus which includes several numbers from Milner's show.
