Join the NeighborMedia.org Team - Become a Citizen Journalist in Cambridge!

Join us for an open house information session Tuesday, January 29th, 7pm at CCTV.

Learn journalism and multimedia skills, and report on important community issues by joining Cambridge Community Television’s NeighborMedia citizen journalism team. Correspondents are volunteers who cover stories happening in the city of Cambridge through blogging, photos, audio and video. No prior technical experience is needed as training will be provided, but an interest in Cambridge community issues and reporting on them is a must!

CCTV Seeks Reporters to Cover these Underreported Topics: Music, Media, Neighborhood Events, Advocacy, Food, Tech, Local Government, Seniors, Education (Correspondents may choose to cover these or any local topic of interest to them.)

A one-year commitment is preferred. Correspondents work with CCTV staff and a team of peers to identify story ideas, develop pieces and grow as reporters. People of all ages, backgrounds, experience levels and interests are encouraged to apply.

Correspondents’ work is published to the NeighborMedia.org website, distributed trough social networks on the web, and shown on CCTV’s three cable channels. In addition to an outlet for their work, correspondents receive a free one-year membership to CCTV and access to free classes through CCTV’s training program.

Interested in joining the team or attending the open house? Please RSVP to coordinator Nicole Belanger before January 29th at nicole@cctvcambridge.org or 617.401.4007. (RSVP encouraged, but not required.)
