CCTV joins the entire public access movement in mourning the passing of George C. Stoney. Long considered the Father of Public Access, Stoney was a documentary filmmaker who passionately believed in the creation of media by those long ignored in the mainstream. His groundbreaking documentary about an African American midwife, All My Babies, is in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. George's obituary may be found here. In this photo, George celebrated his 96th birthday at a party on July 1, with his good friend Rika Welsh, board member of CCTV.
